The latest news and information from Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Fresno and Madera Counties.

Message from the Executive Director

Dear Friends,

This month we are preparing for our upcoming Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, Voices of Hope, to be held on Tuesday, May 2nd. Each year we take the time to recognize our outstanding volunteers for the hard work and dedication they bring to CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties.

Each of our advocates is a volunteer, which means they give of their free time and are uncompensated for the efforts they give towards bettering the lives of children in the foster care system. Often a difficult job, our volunteers may not immediately see the benefits their service has had. However we know that having an advocate helps kids in foster care have healthy and successful futures. Our Voices of Hope event is our small way of saying thank you to these volunteers who give so much of themselves to help foster children in our communities succeed.

If you are interested in attending our Voices of Hope event to help us recognize our outstanding volunteers please contact our office.

Gratefully,

Nathan Lee, Executive Director.
Voices of Hope 2017 annual Volunteer Recognition event!

Our Annual Volunteer Recognition event, Voices of Hope, will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at the Golden Palace Banquet Hall. This event gives us the opportunity to recognize the outstanding work of our advocates and showcase the impact they've had on the lives of foster children. We are privileged to work with such dedicated volunteers and look forward to honoring them during this special event.

This year our guests will hear from our keynote speaker Jake Soberal of Bitwise Industries and enjoy entertainment provided by students from Madera High School.

Communicating the mission of CASA through television and radio.

Over the past month CASA has been working to update our media advertisements through both television and radio advertising. With the help of funds provided through the Walter S. Johnson foundation we have had Advocates and Board members lend their voice to new recordings that will be seen and heard throughout Fresno and Madera.

We would like to thank each advocate who helped us to communicate the mission of CASA by lending their time and voice to these projects. Special thank you to ABC30 and the Jeffrey Scott Agency for providing their media expertise to us!
