Welcome to The Family!

Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr., Mrs. Tiffany, and the Memorial Tabernacle Family welcome you to the family.  We invite you to become a member of a family of believers God is using to "reach to teach, teach to change" one person and one block at a time.   We pray you will choose to attend the reunion to receive the love God has given us to give to you specifically!   #Galatians610  #HarvestTime  #HolySpiritRestatMTC
Notes From Sunday's Sermon
"IT'S PARTY TIME" ( Matthew 22:1-14

In that day and time, a wedding feast was the highlight of all social life. And a wedding feast that a king prepared for his son would be the "mother of all feasts." Jesus was picturing the most elaborate celebration possible. This was the ultimate party.

I think it's significant that Jesus often compared his kingdom to a feast or a banquet. Being a part of God's kingdom is like goi ng to a party. It's a festive occasion, a time of fellowship, a time of joy. A lot of people seem to believe that you can't enjoy yourself if you're a Christian, that to be a Christian you have to denounce every joy and pleasure that abounds in this world. But I think Jesus wanted us to understand that the greatest joys this life has to offer are found in his kingdom.

God has prepared a spiritual feast for anybody who wants to join with him. He wants you to partake of that joy with him. But no one will enjoy the "feast" of the kingdom that refuses to take the kingdom seriously. Whether or not you come to the feast depends on you. If you take the kingdom of God lightly, you will never enter. There will always be some excuse you can come up with. But if you give the King's invitation the priority it deserves, willing to believe it and obey it, then you will enjoy the blessings of that kingdom throughout eternity. -- USK

Season of Advent
December 3 - December 24, 2017

The time before Christmas is Advent, a season of preparation for Christmas. Christians prepare for celebrating the birth of Jesus by remembering the longing of the Jews for a Messiah. In Advent, we're reminded of how much we ourselves also need a Savior, and we look forward to our Savior's second coming even as we prepare to celebrate his first coming at Christmas.

The five candles contrast darkness and light. They are lit in succession, one more each week as we count the Sundays in Advent. On Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, the fifth candle-the Christ candle-is lit. Jesus is the light of the world, and the darkness has not put it out. The full blaze stands for the fulfillment of the promise.

The themes during the four weeks of Advent are Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.

Entering 2018 Encouraged, Inspired, and Transformed

Our Goal:  The Church must return to God Himself and be AWAKENED to who He is, who we are, and what we must do . . . Make Disciples! (Matthew 28:19-20).  Our faith may have been small, but we serve a great God who accomplishes extraordinary things through ordinary people.

Romans 12:2  NKJV reads, " And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
