Dear Saint Rose Families,
Yesterday Fr. George asked students how many of the weeks of the year were declared Holy. It was the introduction to his homily on the themes of Lent and the purpose of Holy Week. He reflected on the many things the students of Saint Rose have done during Lent. We followed the theme of "I Thirst," both theologically and literally. Students have been collecting funds to support Dr. Paat's efforts to purchase water filtration systems for Haiti. Our middle school students created a visual display of what they are offering to go without during Lent as well as what more they are willing to do. Their footprints going through the desert decorate the middle school hallway. A few weeks ago the entire school cooperated with Queen of Apostles School to perform service work for those less fortunate. Classrooms from preschool to 8th grade have done classroom projects as part of their Lenten exercises. Finally, the 8th grade will present the mimed Stations of the Cross
tomorrow to our students and larger church community. Their performances will be at
1:45,
2:30 and 7 pm. You and your family are invited to attend.
Fr. George also reminded students to attend Mass this weekend to begin Holy Week with Mass on Palm
Sunday. Saint Rose Parish will have different Mass times this weekend
on Sunday. The
Saturday Mass is still at
5 pm.
Sunday Masses will be at
7:00 am,
8:30 am,
10:15 am,
12:00 pm, and
5:00 pm. We hope to see your family this weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Bryon Borgelt
Principal

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are looking for volunteers to serve muffins, and pour juice/water.
This event is just like Donuts for Dads, but this time it is for the moms, and the dads get to help. Anyone can help, but the kids REALLY light up when they see dads and grandpas helping out at school. It's a great way to start their day and yours!
