All Aboard the American Queen Riverboat!

The American Queen trip included many fun-filled adventures. While in New Orleans, before boarding the river boat, a Mardi Gras parade was experienced with many beads ending up around our travelers' necks. The WWII museum was very interesting as well. Oak Alley was our first stop while on the river boat. It was a beautiful southern plantation built in the early 1800s and it still stands proudly today with giant live oaks leading into the property off the Mississippi. We took a bayou tour and saw many alligators; we even got to hold a baby alligator! Our cruise ended in Baton Rouge before heading back to New Orleans. 50s and 60s music was enjoyed and danced to throughout our trip.
