ACTIVE SHOOTER: PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE TRAINING

As the number of active shooter incidents continues to rise every year - with nearly two thirds occurring in businesses - active shooter preparation and training is becoming an essential emergency response component for organizations of all shapes and sizes. This introductory course will empower you with the strategies and procedures you need to proactively plan for and respond to an active shooter incident. You'll gain a better understanding of active shooter characteristics and indicators of potentially violent behavior, work through planning strategies to better engage with your space, and apply appropriate response techniques during an incident to reduce your freeze time and react faster. This includes learning proper procedures for escaping, barricading and locking down, using improvised weapons, and accurately reporting to responding law enforcement personnel. The knowledge gained will be the first step to helping you safeguard your life and the lives of others.
