Freeman Fund Update
The current fund amount is approximately $74,000. The Freeman Recovery Fund Committee awarded the four families, whose students were directly impacted, a portion of these dollars. The remainder of the dollars will  be used for additional efforts for the staff, students, and the community.
EWU Pilot
The Program Planning & Evaluation Pilot Project came to a close with an energetic final event when the Master of Social Work students from Eastern Washington University presented their work to the agencies. During the pilot students worked with agencies on program planning and evaluation, logic models and program measures. We are now working with Dr. Frank Velazquez and the Community Impact Committee to evaluate this pilot and make recommendations to the Board.

CI Committee Discussion on Gates Investment
The committee met with The City of Spokane's Homeless Program Specialist to develop a deeper understanding of these issues. They decided to focus these dollars to impact homeless youth, ages 16-24, in our community. They'll make a more specific recommendation to the Board in the future.

Excelerate Success is working to update and improve our Mission and Vision statement.

We received a total of $30,000 from the Williams Northwest Pipeline bowling fundraiser ($15,000 raised and a $1:$1 company match).

Ongoing projects we are working on are:
  • The NextGen Zone / Workforce Development mini story
  • Developing an Opportunity Gap scan for Spokane County
  • Finishing up the Summer Learning evaluation
