The Lincoln Community Learning Centers (CLCs) have their own version of the "Justice League", a team of CLC superheroes that work to make kids healthier, more fit, and superheroes in their own right.

The CLC Activity League is a group of CLC site supervisors who put together afterschool programming that is super fun  with a healthy dose of fit along the way.

The League's latest production - kids building and playing on their own mobile putt putt golf course, otherwise known as a Makerspace.  The mobile course, designed by CLC kids and constructed with lots of community involvement, can move from site to site.  Learn more.

Outpatient Specialty Clinic
Patient volumes have steadily climbed at Children's Lincoln pediatric specialty clinic facility at 86th and Pioneers Boulevard since it opened in 2008, ultimately outgrowing the space.

A new 12,000-square-foot space to be located at Madonna's Lincoln Campus, 2121 South 56th Street, will triple the capacity available when the scheduled move is complete in September, allowing Children's to bring other specialty services to Lincoln. Children's Center for the Child & Community was formerly Teach a Kid to Fish before merging with the Children's Hospital & Medical Center.    Read more

Streets Alive! 2017 set for September 10th
Belmont Neighborhood will host

Please join us on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1-5 PM for our 7th annual Streets Alive! hosted by the Belmont neighborhood.

Every year, Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln works to make our city healthier by bringing the streets alive with music, dance, art, fitness, and free health resources. Streets Alive! celebrates active living, wellness, and healthy eating in a festival full of entertainment and join-in activities that welcomes an average of 5,000 people each year.

Streets Alive! also works to strengthen neighborhoods, bringing together neighbors from across the street and across the city and engaging local schools and businesses. This year's Streets Alive! supports economic development by including a neighborhood project that benefits not only the neighborhood that hosts the event, but adds to the beauty, safety, and well-being of our entire city.

We'll look for you at this year at Streets Alive! and in the meantime, we'd appreciate your support on Give to Lincoln Day!

Breastfeeding Support
WorkWell, MilkWorks offer help
WorkWell Offers Employer Webinars, Revised Guide
Nebraska ranks in the top 20 in a lot of areas, but here's a little known ranking - Nebraska is in the top five in the nation for women returning to work after having a baby. That's a lot of new moms in the workforce.  What does it mean for Nebraska's employers?

Step by step help in developing and implementing worksite breastfeeding support policies is available for employers in the revised Nebraska's Guide to Lactation Support at the Worksite. This guide makes it easy for employers to understand the laws, how to comply, and how to offer support for breastfeeding employees. Download the guide here

WorkWell and the Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition are also hosting free webinars to help businesses understand Nebraska law and review the guide on April 18th, May 2nd, and May 16th. Click here to register,  or for more information email Nicole Osborne with WorkWell.  Call her at (402) 483-2511 ext. 102.
