Science Fair April 20th

A huge thank you for all the pledges and donations we received and we are so grateful to all the parent volunteers who ticked many t-shirts during the run! If you have not turned in your donation envelopes, please do so ASAP, there is still time before the final count is in!

It does look like we have achieved our goal of $2K/lap so Dr. Bruna will have the honor of getting pied (whip cream pie) at our next Town Hall meeting on 4/7 at 8:15am. You must not miss it!

Our family Science Fair takes places this month (see below for details) and our next PTA meeting will be held this Friday, April 7th after Town Hall (once Dr Bruna has cleaned up the pie!). We're excited to invite Mrs. Nelson's class who will parade their art work at the start of the meeting. Don't miss out! Please join us!

A sincere thank you to all the support you give our PTA. Without it, the 'Save the Date' events below simply could not happen at Tulita! Thank you.

Do you have ideas for new programs or fundraisers that Tulita PTA could support next year?

It's that time of year once again where our PTA begin to plan for 201 7 -1 8 school year. The PTA Executive Board will hold their annual planning meeting next month to discuss new ideas, which programs to include and how to appropriately fundraise in order to support these.

We would really appreciate you sharing your ideas for programs, assemblies, fundraisers, family nights and anything else that you believe would benefit our Tulita students. We want to hear your voice.

  Battle of the Books News
Read, Learn, Live
By Casey Schwartz

The winning team: Lucas Alden, Meredith Bacher, Musashi Hayashi, Sam Schwartz, Sophia Giusti

The Green Team - With 51 Books read combined…worked softly, quietly and quickly to win the amazing title of BOB 3rd Grade. It was a tight race against Team Orange who came in 2nd with only 3 points behind…..who also read 51 books combined. Thank you to the 3rd grade teachers who hosted book tastings to overflowing classrooms of those who were interested in the early part of the year. I had the delight in training all the teams, who gave up recess and lunches in the month of Feb and March to teach them how the whole process worked and to hear how much they enjoyed the books they would not have normally picked up. The highlight was the day of competition when it all came together, the battle of book brains came into play, and all the parents and teachers came in to support, volunteer and celebrate the joy of reading. Read, Learn, Live.

   Tulita Garden
Spring is finally here and our garden is growing! If you have a chance, you should come and check out our beautiful garden. There is a newly paved rock path where the old metal gate used to be. All the rocks were painted with a loving and positive message by our creative students.

A special thank you to the best Live Well Garden Chair, Casey Schwartz, who spends countless hours educating our students on gardening and plants, maintaining our gardens, and also beautifying our garden with the new rock path!
