We are gearing up for Spring here at the Chamber and that means out with the old and in with the new! Consider adding the following to your spring cleaning list:
- Update your rack cards and brochures here at the Chamber Office.
- Attend a Chambermaster session. The next one is on April 17.
- Attend a ribbon cutting, a business-after-hours or ambassador meeting in 2017.
February and March brought opportunities to you, our members, to have your voice heard. A training session with the Department of Labor and a luncheon with the Mayor of Vicksburg and President of the Warren County Board of Supervisors both provided networking and collaboration. We are excited for the months ahead! Thank you for your support and for your membership!

The month of March brought Spring Fever to the Vicksburg Young Professionals. The Lunch & Learn event at Martins at Midtown on Monday, March 20th presented by Anna McCain of the MSU Extension Office was insightful and delightful! She presented Community Sponsored Agriculture and our options for Fresh, Seasonal supplies of fruits, dairy, and vegetables for the 2017 year!

On Wednesday, February 8, the Leadership Vicksburg class spent the first part of the day at Hinds Community College training on social media and touring River City Early College. They were fed by the Hinds Culinary Arts Program. The afternoon sessions continued with effective communication at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with Greg Raimondo.
On Wednesday, March 8, the Leadership Vicksburg class traveled to the State Capitol in Jackson to see our Government in Action. They were able to visit with local leaders in the House and in the Senate. Thank you to Blackburn Motor Company for providing transportation that day.
Next training day is Wednesday, April 12 with United Way of West Central Mississippi.
