Colossians 3:1-17
This Sunday
This Sunday at Aldersgate we have the rare privilege of having our Seattle District Superintendent, Rev. Rich Lang, in the pulpit for both services. Rich has done a remarkable job of reinvigorating the district, focusing us in, bringing in some amazing talent to serve the churches of this area. He has been creative in the formation of teams serving multiple churches in specific areas of need, and continued to be a passionate political force, a visionary, and a prophet, all while seeing himself as a servant. To prepare for this special Sunday please read Colossians 3:1-17.

Pastor's Blog
Rev. Brad P. Beeman
This Sunday I will very literally be in the city of Jerusalem, walking where Jesus walked, examining the history, the city, the cultures and sharing time with this group of fourteen. By now we will have walked along the shores the Sea of Galilee, seen Nazareth, been on a boat in the middle of the Sea, and spent time at the baptismal site. Please know that we are praying for you, as I know you are for us.

UMCOR Sunday
March 26
In two weeks on Sunday March 26 we will take a special offering to help fund the United Methodist Committee on Relief. UMCOR is a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. Their work reaches people in more than 80 countries, including the United States. UMCOR's work includes programs and projects in disaster response, health, sustainable agriculture, food security and relief supplies. They provide humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupt life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own, to assist the most vulnerable person affected by crisis or chronic need. Your generous gift ensures UMCOR's response in times of crisis. Your gift helps UMCOR bring light out of darkness. Please give generously.

Mission Sunday
April 23
Aldersgate will have its first Mission Sunday on
April 23. We will gather for one worship service at 9:00am
and will then venture out to do various mission projects. There will be several mission projects that will be organized by the church to do at church or to do at other places. Lunch will be provided. These mission projects will be fully explained and you will have the opportunity to signup for them starting on March 26. Congregation members are also encouraged to go out and serve in other ways as well. Then on
April 30 we will again have only one service but at 10:00am
to
review and celebrate our Mission Sunday accomplishments followed by a potluck lunch.

Van Donation
A very generous family of our congregation has offered to donate their "2012 Toyota Sienna 8 passenger mini van with less than 50,000 miles and no accidents" to Aldersgate. They've also offered to pay for the van's maintenance and insurance for the first year. Before accepting the van, the Core Leaders are asking for a volunteer to take responsibility for managing the van's missionary & charitable use. If you feel called to care for the van and manage its beneficial use by Aldersgate members, please contact Board of Trustees Chair (Rich Detering) or Core Leaders Chair (Joe Lee) not later than
April 1, 2017.

Spring Yoga
Starts Saturday

yoga mat (ask if you are unsure) and Vince will supply the rest of the props. The cost will be $45 per student for the entire series to cover Vince's expenses-you can try out the first class with no financial commitment and scholarships are available if needed.
