Alumni Feature
Chloe Burdette, '14
When asked, "Why would you go into fashion? You can't do anything with it." Indiana State alumna, Chloe Burdette replied, "I never take no for an answer." This tenet is what empowered Burdette through her successes as a Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising student at Indiana State.

Now in the competitive, evolving world of fashion as a senior stylist for Trunk Club, a service that provides a personal shopping experience, Burdette credits her successes to her Indiana State instructors. "They would push me and push me in the best way and support me no matter what."

Edgerton and Elsey Celebration
Indiana State administrators to be celebrated
In Indiana State University's recent history, two names are synonymous with student affairs: Paul Edgerton, '60, and Bob Elsey.   Combined, the pair has provided 70 years of leadership at Indiana State since 1962, touching generations of Sycamores. The two distinguished colleagues will be honored for their years of service with the Edgerton and Elsey Celebration July 28 and 29. The celebration will consist of a welcome reception Friday evening followed by campus tours, a panel discussion, and dinner on Saturday.

Sycamores spent their spring break in places all across the globe March 13 through the 17. In St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica, students painted homes and mentored the local youth on one of the Center for Community Engagement's Alternative Spring Break trips.
