IN THIS ISSUE:
Dear Friends,

On this last day of March as we await another cruel blast from a seemingly endless winter and look forward to our beloved Red Sox taking the field at Fenway for their season opener this coming Monday, my hopeful thoughts turn to Spring and all of its attendant promise of new things ahead. I can't think of a more appropriate way to acknowledge the bright prospects of the days to come than through our wonderful annual tradition of Academic Awards night on Wednesday April 12th. Once again, we will gather at the beautiful UMass Club at One Beacon Street to recognize the amazing accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom of an incredible group of college juniors and seniors who are pursuing degrees in finance and accounting. We also need to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank our Academic Relations Committee under the great leadership of Chair Donna Desmond for their always tireless and difficult work evaluating far more praiseworthy submissions from top students than we have the ability to ultimately recognize as finalist winners. Please don't miss this great event where, in addition to meeting a group of future financial leaders, we will have the very special privilege of hearing from the person who would be considered the obvious host in our venue, University of Massachusetts President Marty Meehan. You don't want to miss this great combined opportunity to meet some truly distinguished young leaders and to hear from a leading and well regarded figure in Massachusetts politics and academic leadership.

Getting back to my opening comment on the cruelty of this winter...

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: Sapers & Wallack
In a time of specialization and depersonalization in financial services, Sapers & Wallack has proudly moved in the opposite direction. The firm provides advisory expertise and customized solutions in the areas of Group and Executive Benefits, Retirement Plans and personal insurance (life, disability, long term care). Furthermore, to better comprehensively support the evolving needs of its clients, Sapers & Wallack has expanded the range of services to include Wealth Management, Charitable Strategies, and company Wellness programs.

The firm's professional advisors take a holistic approach to financial services; combining the deep knowledge of its Group and Executive Benefits operations with the insight of its Retirement plan consultants. Through this, Sapers & Wallack is able to laser focus where a company may have the greatest potential risk for exposure, where contracts can be enhanced to benefit the client/employees, or where costs can be reduced and liabilities lessened. Clients often view the firm and its staff as reliable first call experts and oftentimes, as an extension of their internal human relations and/or finance department.
Since 1932, Sapers & Wallack has helped hundreds of clients to navigate compliance issues, protect their business and assets, and streamline their benefit offerings. The company is recognized as one of the largest employee benefits firms in Massachusetts, one of the Top 100 Women-led businesses in Massachusetts, and one of the only 12% of family businesses that survives into a third generation.

Now stewarded by the third generation of founding families, integrity remains the guiding principle of the Newton-based firm.
