Greetings Prince of Peace Community,

My name is Corey Wagonfield, and you may have seen me serving in worship, leading an Engage class, or worshiping alongside you the past couple of months. In case we have not had the opportunity to meet yet, I wanted to introduce myself. I am currently a first-year Masters of Divinity student at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, and I was blessed enough to be placed in your congregation as part of my Leadership in Context class.

This three semester long class challenges us to put what we are learning in our theological classes into practice within a congregation; it’s kind of like a pre-internship. For the next year, I will be part of your worshiping community before I head off to my two-year internship in the summer of 2018. I would love to get know you, your families, and what makes Prince of Peace the place you call your worship home.

If you are going to share something about yourselves with me, I guess it’s only fair I tell you a little about me. I was born, raised, and currently live in Hamilton, OH with my wife of 11 years, Megan, and three amazing kids, Maddie (8), Mollie (7), and Max (3). I received a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre from Miami University and worked for 10 years as the camp director at Camp Luther in Conneaut, OH (where I got to know many awesome Prince of Peace families). I also own and operate a wedding DJ business. I was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Oxford, OH and my family are currently members at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in West Chester, OH. My call story was definitely heavily influenced by my childhood pastor, countless summers at LOMO camps here in Ohio, and the ELCA National Youth Gathering. After leaving camp ministry to be closer to my family, I finally heeded God’s call, got over my fears, and entered seminary in hopes of becoming a pastor of Word and Sacrament. My hobbies include reading, home brewing, wine making, home improvement projects, board games, and making memories with my family.

I look forward to connecting with you and the Prince of Peace community.

In grace & peace,

Corey Wagonfield
