BDL is sponsoring a Local Authors Night on Thursday, Apri 20th at 6pm..

At 6pm, Author Rich Bachus will be discussing his new book "Into No Man's Land" a local history of the Bachus Family during World War I.

Then beginning at 7pm, Author John Deckinga will discuss his books "Road to Cocoyoc", Return to Cocoyoc", and "Enemy in Shadows".

BDL has received a very special grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities which will allow us to sponsor a special 6 week family literacy program beginning September 25th! Volunteers are needed for each of the six weeks to help prepare and serve dinner to the up to 25 families we are hoping to include.
