Two Documentaries Mark OKC Bombing Remembrance

KGOU will air two special programs in observance of the 22nd anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. On Sunday, April 16 at noon we'll re-broadcast our documentary That April Morning: The Oklahoma City Bombing.

On Wednesday, April 19 at 9 a.m. we will mark the hour of the blast with the BBC's newly created hour-long documentary, Oklahoma City After The Bomb, with an encore later in the day at 6 p.m.

Spring Fund Drive Success: Truly Powerful!

KGOU's Spring Fund Drive is slipping back into 'silent' mode after a successful week on the air last week. Listener contributions now total 1359 (our goal is 1400), including more than 300 new donors! Thanks to everyone who contributed or gave matching funds, the total pledged now stands at $193,927 and counting.

We're also sending a big 'thank you' to our wonderful phone volunteers and those who fed them: Waving Wheat Bakery, Pizza Peddlers in Noble, Firehouse Subs in Norman, Sooner Legends and Gaberino's Homestyle Italian Restaurant. Thank you all!
KGOU Welcomes Two New Staffers

KGOU welcomed two new reporters to our news department this week. Claire Donnelly will be reporting local news (you might have heard her on the air for the first time today); she comes to KGOU  after an internship at WBEZ in Chicago.

Nomin Ujiyediin is KGOU's new Digital News Editor and has already written several reports for our website. Nomin most recently interned at WNYC. We're glad to have them join our staff and look forward to doing great work together!

Taped live in Philadelphia with host station WHYY, this week's new Ask Me Another episode features special guest Amy Sedaris. The comedic actress shares the beginnings of her dream project, a TV show about hosting. Then Sedaris shows off her knowledge of art and crafts in a game of "Etsy or Smithsonian American Museum of Art." Tune in Saturday at 6 p.m. or Sunday at 10 a.m. for all the trivia and fun.
