Catch the Tsunami Wave!
Many of us know that involving our kids in sports is important. Sports are a good way to ensure children learn the value of teamwork and being healthy and active. Soccer, baseball and football are often the first team sports that come to mind, but swimming is an often-overlooked option.

There are so many benefits for kids being part of a swim team. Check out this article from Swimming World on "6 Reasons Why Your Child Should Learn to Swim."

The good news is, there is a youth swim club right here in Lompoc. Lompoc Tsunami Swim Team features local coaches and swimmers, and is a great way to encourage young people to stay active.

Tsunami invites all kids to come check it out and even try the swim team for a week, regardless of swimming ability. As long as a kid can get across the pool, they will give that child the tools to become a skilled swimmer.

For more information on Tsunami, check out their website or connect with their President Amanda McCarley.
