Waterways:
US Coast Guard MSIB Vol XVII Issue 14.   Temporary Safety Zone MM 95.4-96.4 AHP LMR
The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port New Orleans, under the authority of the Ports and Waterways Safety Act, will establish a safety zone on the Lower Mississippi River, Above Head of Passes, from MM 95.4 to MM 96.4, in the vicinity of the Aquarium of the Americas, in New Orleans, LA. This safety zone is needed to protect persons and vessels from the potential safety hazards associated with a fireworks display. This rule is effective on April 14, 2017 from 9:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. local time. All vessels are prohibited from entering this safety zone unless they have been granted permission by the Captain of the Port New Orleans or designated representative. contact the Vessel Traffic Service via VHF-FM Channel 12.  For a current list of MSIBs within the COTP New Orleans Zone visit: https://homeport.uscg.mil/nola and look under "Safety and Security"
