Tonight
Maundy Thursday Service, 7P in the Sanctuary
"Maundy" comes from the Latin mandatum novum, the "new commandment" Jesus gave his disciples in John 13:34. This service remembers the last evening Christ spent with His disciples in the upper room - the first Lord's Supper. Our atmosphere of reverence will reflect the somber occasion with a message by Kyle Smethurst, TCC's Student Ministries Pastor, hymns with choir and organ and the celebration of the Lord's Supper.

Deacons' Fund Offering Tonight
The Maundy Thursday service will be an occasion for our church to give to the needs of our local community. The entire offering at this service will be given to the TCC Deacons' Fund. The Deacons' Fund enables our Deacons to respond to emergency needs among people of our church and community. You should have received a letter with a special envelope for this collection last week.  Extra envelopes are available on the Communication Hub. Thank you for your generosity.
Tomorrow Night
Good Friday Service, 7P in the Sanctuary
This service tells the story of Jesus' death, from the Gospel of John, by weaving readings, music and a message together as we enter into the darkness of Good Friday.  Steven Weiss, TCC's Student Ministries Assistant, will preach.
There will not be an offering taken during the service; however a basket will be placed in Phillips Hall for anyone wishing to donate to the Deacons' Fund. When the service concludes, we exit in silence and darkness as we contemplate His death and wait in joyful hope for His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Parking Issues, Please help!!
If you are physically able, please park in the Town Building Lot. You may drop off people or paraphernalia and then proceed to the parking lot. This will free up parking spots for visitors, the handicapped, our older population and those with young infants and toddlers.   This is a practical way for us to show hospitality. Plan a few extra minutes, so you can park in the town building lot (or on the side streets) and walk in.  Please do not park along the sides of the driveway, as these areas are fire lanes and must be kept clear
Thank you to Kevin Johnson, his sons and Jack Calverley for volunteering to be our parking lot attendants on Sunday!

An Update From Teddy Sayonkon In Liberia
"It is grateful to be in the position to help people truly in need. I was able to distribute school materials, clothing, shoes etc to both Antioch Baptist School & United Liberia Inland school. What a blessing to be able to do such. I personally want to extend thanks and appreciation to TCC members for their prayers and donations. We'll continue distribution to the LY hospital children department where we'll donate clothes & toys in few days.  I was able to received five barrels and still awaiting three more. Keep me in prayer that the remaining three arrive while I'm still here in order to continue my distribution."
Teddy will be returning from Liberia next week. Please pray for safety and protection as he travels.

Volunteer Opportunities

TCC runs on volunteers! Please visit the TCC "How to Serve" webpage at http://www.tccwayland.org/serve.php for more information.   Here are a few current opportunities:

Additional Ushers Still Needed...
Our mission:   To welcome every visitor and member to the house of God!

What is needed : Ushers are absolutely critical in helping newcomers form their first impression of TCC. You help set the tone for the worship experience to come. You are representatives of God's kingdom.  You're not just opening doors, providing information, handing out bulletins or collecting the offering, you are making people feel welcome!

Could you help ONE  Sunday morning a month?  Please contact Debbie Wilson at [email protected] or 508-358-7717.

Volunteer Offering Counters Needed ...
Are you accurate and reliable?  Volunteers count the weekly offering (mostly checks for deposit) each Sunday, and we are in need of new helpers.  Offering counters work in pairs.  Contact Aimee Mury at [email protected] or 508- 358-7717, x303 if this might be a way you could help us.  Training provided!

Coffee Hour needs YOU!
If you enjoy having a cup of coffee while chatting with others between Sunday services, please sign-up (alone or with your Small Group) to host a coffee hour!   You don't even have to provide snacks - just make, set up and then clean up the coffee and tea ! ( Easy instructions provided - click here to see what is involved!)
Participation gives you and your group an opportunity to serve the Lord and is greatly appreciated by your fellow members.
Please sign up at the Connection Hub this Sunday or contact Robin Spinale, our new Coffee Hour Coordinator at [email protected]!

The TCC Food Pantry, "Loaves & Fishes" offers assistance to those of TCC and the surrounding community who need help with providing for themselves and their family.  If you are in need, or if you know of someone who is in need, please feel free to visit the church office for assistance from the food pantry.  The food pantry is open on Sunday mornings and during regular church office hours.

Donations to the TCC "Loaves & Fishes" Food Pantry are gratefully accepted.  There is a collection bin on a table near the lobby stairwell.  We only accept donations of non-perishable food and personal items.  WE RESPECTFULLY ASK YOU NOT TO DONATE ANY OPEN OR EXPIRED ITEMS - WE JUST HAVE TO THROW THEM AWAY!

TOP ITEMS NEEDED:
Disinfectant Wipes
Cookie Mix
Brownie Mix
Jiffy Mixes

If you have any questions regarding donations, contact Diane or David Newcomb at [email protected] or [email protected]
