Make Your Hotel Reservation Soon!
Hello, 2017 A&E Conference Registrants!

The 2017 Agents & Editors Conference is just over three months away (or 99 days, to be exact, but who's counting?), which means it's time to start checking items off of your conference "to-do" list. This is the first of a series of pre-conference mailers meant to help you do just that. Keep an eye out for more emails like this with useful information. If you worry that you missed one, you can always check the conference page at our website, where each mailer will be posted.

In this mailer, you'll find the following:
  • information on one-on-one consultations (now available),
  • a reminder about hotel room reservations (act fast, before our block sells out!), and
  • details on where you can find interviews with our visiting agents and editors.
Of course, if you have questions on anything here--or anything else A&E Conference related--give us a call. We're always happy to hear from you.

We're looking forward to seeing you in Austin soon!

About the Agent/Editor Consultations:

If you registered for the A&E Conference and opted in by March 15,
you are entitled to a complimentary one-on-one consultation with an agent or editor. By now, you should have received an email from [email protected] with detailed instructions and a link to the Consultation Preference Form. (If you didn't and believe that you should have, email [email protected].)

If you registered for the A&E Conference after March 15 or did not opt in by March 15, one-on-one consultations are now available for purchase. For more information and a link to the Consultation Purchase Form, click here.

IMPORTANT: Whether you have a complimentary consultation or you choose to purchase a consultation, the deadline for submitting completed forms is May 15 midnight. At this time, all registrants are limited to no more than one (1) consultation.
Meet the Agents and Editors:

Our 2017 A&E Conference faculty includes notable literary agents who represent best-selling and award-winning authors and have sold books to big presses and indie presses alike. It also includes a collection of editors who have published some of the most exciting books of the past few years.
  • To meet our agents, click here.
  • To meet our editors, click here.
We've started sharing interviews with the agents and editors on our blog, Scribe, and we'll continue posting additional interviews as they come in.
  • To read agent and editor Q&As, click here.
We also highly recommend doing your own independent research on the agents and editors by visiting their websites. Another resource we suggest is agent/editor social media accounts, where you may find interviews they've done with other organizations in the past. In short: the more research you do, the better!
Reserve Your Hotel Room
The conference venue, the Hyatt Regency Austin, has set aside a block of discounted rooms for A&E Conference registrants for dates before, during, and after the event.
  • To learn about the hotel and book your rooms, click here.
The special group rate is available for a limited time and these rooms will fill up, so book now if you want to be assured a spot.
