Active Parishioner Status
|
Thank you to all who have completed your Stewardship of Time, Talent and Treasure forms. There are many families who have not returned their form.
Please call the Parish Office to get a form sent to you, or go the
www.stpeterjc.org, click on Fr. Charlie and you will find Stewardship 2016 under the "Parish Forms" link.
This is one of the facets of Active Parishioner status at St. Peter Parish, and a great way to get involved and meet other members of our parish family! Please call the Parish Office if you have any questions. A courtesy letter will be mailed from the school if you have not met all the requirements of an active parishioner.
Active parishioners' status is fulfilled by:
-
Registered in the parish
- Regularly participating in Mass and the Sacraments
- Annually completing the Stewardship/ Time, Talent & Treasure form
- Supporting the Parish financially
These requirements must be met for you to remain a non tuition family.

We are out of paper towels.
If each family could send in one roll, we would appreciate it very much.
Thank you for all you do for SPS!

THE WAY OF THE CROSS- Walk with the Saints
|
Each weekend when students attend Mass at St Peter or St Andrew, they can pick up a cross for attending the Sunday Mass. Baskets will be placed in the back of church. On Monday the students will post their crosses in the front office windows as a visual reminder of the way of the cross. Help us walk the way of the cross during Lent. If you are not Catholic or attend another Catholic church just bring in the bulletin from the church you attend. The office will provide a cross for your child.

Pick up of the spring frozen foods/cookie dough will be on Wednesday, April 5 from 3-5:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Please pick up your order at that time. We do not have freezer space to store orders not picked up. If any 6, 7 or 8
th graders would like to help with this for service hours, please let me know. Your previous help has been very much appreciated.
The fiscal Scrip year will end the week of March 27. At this point, we are off that day for a snow day. Please turn orders in on Tuesday, March 28.
Scrip will NOT be available the week of Easter as we only have three (3) days of school and the next week as we are out of school.
The last week to order Scrip for the current school year will be May 9. Scrip will not be available the last week of school.
Scrip will be available for one week in the summer. I will be at St. Peter Church on Saturday evening, July 8 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday morning, July 9 from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. to collect orders. On Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16 I will be at St. Peter Church during the same time frames to hand out filled orders. If someone from St. Andrew would like to help out, please let me know. You can pick your own time frame; it just needs to be the same weekends. Helias Catholic High School Dead Week is July 1-9. If you wish to place an order and this is a conflict or you have other conflicts and wish to place an order, please email your order to me at
kbalcer@stpeterjc.org and you can pay for it when you pick it up the next weekend. You may also call or text me at 573-690-6155.
Gander Mountain and Gordman's Scrip is no longer available.
Barnes and Noble, Cracker Barrel, Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, Longhorn, and Red Lobster), Panera and Red Robin have decreased their discount to 8% from 9%.

Technology in the classroom-I would love to have several ipads in the classroom for next year. With it being Lent and tax time, I thought I would first reach out to my parents to see if you know of any businesses that would want to purchase or give a donation toward the cause before opening it up to the other school families. I am very technology literate and would love to have the opportunity for our students to have more one on one practice during the school day to reinforce what I am teaching them throughout the year.
Why Technology...
-excites students
-gives them immediate feedback
-can be used as a reward
-makes learning fun
-keep up with other school
-offers differentiated instruction
-helps with technology competency
-more independence
Thank You, Gala Dempsey
