By following Jesus and reaching out to others, we seek God's transformation of ourselves and our world.

Please join us this Sunday, March 26th, at our 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 am Worship Services as we continue our Sermon Series on "The Shack."

Both Pastor Kenny and Pastor Dan will be preaching this Sunday on "How Can I Know the Heart of the Father?"

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." (John 3:16-17)

Well Done Good and Faithful Servants!

What a JOY to receive a special note in our mailbox this week from one of our guests who felt blessed by Pender's Hypothermia Center last week.  May the Lord continue to provide for the least, the lost and the forgotten through giving hearts like the wonderful people we have here at Pender UMC.  The Lord is working in our midst and it's such a beautiful picture of His love!

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)
The Prime Timers are Lunching Out Next Week!

The ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) are meeting for lunch on Tuesday, March 28th, at Bob Evans in Chantilly at 11:30 am.

The JULIETs (Just Us Ladies Into Eating Together) will meet Friday, March 31, at 11:45 am at First Watch in the Greenbriar Shopping Center.  Please let Becky know by Wednesday night if you can attend so she can request an appropriate sized table.

What's Happening with our Pender Youth?
Penny Wars!

The Pender Turning Point Youth Group is putting on a Penny War to raise money for the World Vision 30 Hour Famine that they participated in back in February. Look for jars marked for local high schools and two colleges in the Church Lobby on Sundays now through the first week in April.

How it works:

Pennies and paper money are positive points.
For example a penny would be +1 point and a $5 bill would be +500 points

All silver change count as negative points.
So nickels are -5, dimes are -10, and quarters are -25.

Therefore you want pennies and paper money to go in your own high school or college jar and silver change to go in your rival's jar.

All money raised will go to World Vision.

Palm Sunday - April 9th

"Come Touch the Robe" -- a Lenten Cantata presented by our Sanctuary Choir in our Sanctuary on April 9th at 8:15, 9:30 & 11:00 am.

Lenten Sing 'N Celebrate
April 2, 5-6 pm, in the Sanctuary

This will be a Lenten Hour you won't soon forget!  Jason Griffin will set the theme with his portrayal of Peter in "Gethsemane's Lost Prayer."  After Jesus reveals His deepest emotions, giving His disciples the most compelling of reasons to do what He asks, they sleep instead of praying for strength for themselves, if not for their Master.
