Mr. Ikutaro Kakehashi passed away on April 1st. As the founder of Roland Corporation, "Mr K." impacted our entire industry with new instruments and technology standards that are now used worldwide. Hal Leonard had a long-time relationship professionally, and personally, with this industry giant and were amazed at the drive and positive approach he brought to every encounter. Anyone creating any type of electronic music today has an obligation to this visionary who dedicated his entire life to innovation. Thank you Mr. K. Your legacy will live on in the music we create.

Since their release, Blue's Spark, Bluebird, and Baby Bottle have provided a very attractive option for customers. This new SL series takes it to a new level. The new muted colors have a more retro feel, which is cool, but the onboard 100 Hz high-pass filter and the -20dB pad make these mics incredibly more flexible. The high-pass filter lets the user mike a source from a very close distance without capturing a thick and muddy sound.
