I am also pleased to announce the winners of the Yearbook Cover Art Contest. Nearly 60 entries were submitted this year and we had a number of spectacular designs to select from. Congratulations to this year's winner, Emma F in 5 Lynch! Emma's stunning design will fill the front cover of this year's yearbook.  Designs from Ella G, Saivagmita K, Tanya A & Lilly E, and Bridget  H will complete this year's back cover. Congratulations and many thanks to all of our very talented artists.

Lastly, I hope that you will consider joining us for this week's Parent Pillar Night regarding Substance Abuse.  Sadly in today's society this is a topic that is incredibly important for us to consider no matter how old our children are.

Have a great rest of the week!

Parent Pillar Nights - Please Join Us:

Parent Pillar Night - Substance Abuse
March 16th from 7 to 8:30 PM

During this session you will learn how you as a parent can be a prevention agent in your own home, including the essential role you play in keeping kids alcohol and other drug free during childhood and adolescence.  In order to gauge attendance for the evening, we kindly ask that you  please click here to let us know if you will be able to join us

Babysitting will be available in the Art Room at a cost of $10 per family. (Proceeds will offset the cost of the upcoming Quebec trip for our 7th Grade Families.)

Parent Pillar Night: SCREENAGERS
March 30 at the New England Chapel

We are incredibly excited to share the details of our next Parent Pillar night.  We hope you'll choose to join us on March 30th for a private showing of SCREENAGERS.

The event will be held at the New England Chapel located at 40 Kenwood Circle in Franklin. Tickets are $10 per person and must be pre-purchased here

Tickets are now available to the general public to the show, so please reserve your tickets as soon as possible. SCREENAGERS shows often sell out so don't miss your chance!

**Please note:  We had originally intended to share the film with students in Grades 5-8, however after further consideration and a preview of the complete film; we have decided that it is really targeted to parents. If you would like to bring your child(ren) to the show you are welcome to purchase a ticket for them to watch as a family.**

The 2017-2018 PCO Board

If you've ever thought about volunteering for the PCO please consider a board position!  Contact the current board for more info: BFCCPS@PCO. ORG

The PCO Spring Book Fair will be held  March 20th , 21st & 22nd. Class visit times will be posted to the school calendar and also available on the PCO Facebook Page

Visitors:   All visitors to the school are required to sign in at the Front Office and wear a Visitor's badge. Visitors must be escorted at all times.  Thank you for your help with this!

Parking & Parking Lot Safety:  Parking is not allowed in marked reserved spots near the schools main entrance. These spots are reserved for the CCD program staff.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures:  Please adhere to the posted arrival and dismissal procedures which are posted here our website. If you plan on parking on Queen Street to pick up your children, you must park and walk into the courtyard to pick them up. Students may not walk across the playground to Queen Street regardless of their grade level. This is for their own personal safety.

Absence and Dismissal Notification:  If your child will be absent or tardy from school, Please contact Mrs. Tappin at ltappin@bfccps.org or at  leave a voice message at the absent and tardy line 508-541-3434 and press 4.  Additionally, if you have to make any dismissal changes please email both your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher AND Mrs. Laura Tappin by email at  ltappin@bfccps.org

Health Office: The Health Office would love your donations of gently used, gender-neutral, navy blue, grey, or black athletic-type pants.  We often provides clean and dry clothing to students who need it during the day (due to spills, falling into puddles, etc.), and we are running low on our pants supply.  If you have some that your child has outgrown, and are looking to donate them somewhere, we'd love to receive them!

As a reminder, BFCCPS has an extended absence policy which indicates that extended absences for non-medical reasons for more than 10 consecutive school days will not be approved and will result in dis-enrollment from BFCCPS unless caused by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, such as a natural disaster, serious accident, or other situation deemed exceptional and unavoidable by the HOS.
