CITT/ICTS Rendez-vous 2018 Saint John Tourism Award Nomination
Last October, we received wonderful news that the
CITT/ICTS Rendez-vous 2017 Annual Conference & Trade Show was nominated in the category of « Meeting & Convention Award » by the
Hospitality Saint John Tourism Awards committee in recognition of our efforts towards bringing our annual event to Saint John NB. Monique Corbeil, CITT/ICTS National Coordinator, attended the Hospitality Saint John Tourism Awards gala held on November 9 in Saint John NB, accompanied by Angela Campbell, Executive Director of the Imperial Theatre, the Rendez-vous hosting venue. The other nominees included the following organisations:
- Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs - 18th Annual Fisheries Conference
- Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) Annual Sessions & Midget Entry Draft
- UCTE (Union of Canadian Transportation Employees) 17th Triennial Convention
The winner was the QMJHL Annual Sessions & Midget Entry Draft, and although CITT/ICTS did not win, it was quite an honour to be in nomination with such amazing organizations!

Nomination de CITT/ICTS Rendez-vous 2017 pour un prix du tourisme Saint John
En octobre dernier, nous apprenions que le
Rendez-vous CITT/ICTS 2017 conférence annuelle et salon était en nomination dans la catégorie « Prix congrès et conférence » par le comité des
prix du tourisme de l'Hospitalité Saint John en reconnaissance de l'effort que nous avons mis à organiser l’événement à Saint-Jean N.-B. La coordonnatrice nationale du CITT/ICTS Monique Corbeil a assisté au gala des Prix du tourisme de l'Hospitalité Saint John, qui a eu lieu le 9 novembre dernier à Saint John NB, en compagnie d'Angela Campbell, directrice générale du Imperial Theatre, la salle hôte du Rendez-vous. Les autres candidatures en lice pour le prix étaient:
- Congrès stratégique atlantique des chefs des Premières Nations - 18e conférence annuelle sur les pêches
- Séance annuelle de repêchage de la Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec (LHJMQ)
- 17e Congrès national de l'UCET (Union canadienne des employés des transports)
C'est la Séance annuelle de repêchage de la Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec (LHJMQ) qui a remporté le prix. Même si le CITT/ICTS n'a pas gagné, ce fut un honneur de se trouver parmi ces nominés de prestige!
