I was an oddball in my college dorm, mixing the loud playing of Stevie Winwood's 'Traffic', Jethro Tull, the Rolling Stones, yadda yadda, with VIVALDI on HARPSICHORD. What is THAT?, my mates would ask.
The Harpsichord is just a favorite instrument of mine, and as Rector of St. Timothy's, Apple Valley, I was privileged to have Caitlyn St. John, an esteemed harpsichordist, in the Chancel most Sundays.
Now Jane and Tom Glover bring us a Kurt Speerhake Harpsichord, crafted in Passau, Germany, to further enliven our incredible musical life at St. Edmund's Parish.
Could we be more blessed?
Lawrence Shulte and Team are working toward the addition also of contemporary forms of music for an additional Eucharist and Taize...time and specifics indeterminate. We rejoice to see an increasing diversity and expansion of Music at St. Edmund's.

THE GLOVER HARPSICHORD
St. Edmund's Parishioners Tom and Jane Glover have made a most gracious gift of their Harpsichord to St. Edmund, built by Kurt Sperrhake in Passau, Germany. This is a most welcome addition to the Parish Music Program which will enhance the musical offerings of our Parish for many years to come. The quality of musical offerings at St. Edmunds continues to redound. The Glover Harpsichord will make official debut soon, so "Stay Tuned!"
