trainingsNEW Michigan Data Hub Webinar Training Sessions

The Michigan Data Hub team has scheduled a number of trainings to provide the field with information on various aspects of the Michigan Data Hub. There are three different session topics, and each session has two offerings. We will be recording and posting each session as well so if you are unable to attend live, you can pull them up and stream directly from our website. While it isn't required that you participate in all three, or take them in order, we recommend the Data Hub 101 session prior to either Data Hub 102 or 103.

Data Hub 101 is designed to provide an overview of the data hubs, navigation of the cockpit application, how all of the integrations work, and executing the reports.

Data Hub 102 provides an overview of the dashboard requirements, the base dashboards, the early warning system (EWS) and the intervention catalog.

Data Hub 103 will walk through our newest option in the data hubs, the Flexible Export Tool. The Flexible Export Tool allows you to query your data hub database and export the data in multiple formats.

Click the links beneath the descriptions below to register for the session date and time that works best for you and your team. Finally, we have added a new training page to our website that houses these links and is where we will be posting the recordings. The URL for that page is http://22itrig.org/activities/data-integration/training/.

The excerpts below have been taken from the  April 6, 2017 issue

Invite Staff from the MDE to Visit Your School During Testing
Would you like to show the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) how standardized assessment goes on the front lines? MDE test administration staff will be available to visit schools during spring testing. The goal is to observe a test session or two and to talk to your team about what goes well and where we could improve.

iPad Operating System Update
A new version of the iPad operating system was released last week. DRC tested the beta versions of iOS 10.3 with INSIGHT, with no issues found. Now that the final version is official, DRC's QA testers are running a full regression test to make sure there are no relevant differences.

Common Connection Issues and Fixes
As the state testing window gets closer, we wanted to address some common connection issues and how to fix them. If needed, your local tech support will be your first point of contact. Support from Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) is available by calling 1-877-5608378 (option 2).
