Coming Fall 2017... Even More Options!
Options Introduces Kindergarten Enrichment Program

Options Childcare and Preschool--a NAEYC-accredited, Keystone 4-STAR-rated program headquartered at the Capital Area Children's Center in Camp Hill--is excited to announce the Fall 2017 opening of its first Kindergarten Enrichment Program. The program will serve children who attend half-day (specifically morning) Kindergarten at Sporting Hill Elementary School in the Cumberland Valley School District (CV).

The Options Kindergarten Enrichment Program offers:
  • Before and after-school care in a small class setting
  • Learning experiences that will complement the child's half-day kindergarten curriculum
  • The convenience of full-day care when Sporting Hill is closed for holidays, in-service days, or inclement weather
  • Caring faculty who are credentialed in early childhood education
  • Free transportation to and from Sporting Hill (provided by CV School District)

The STEAM-based (Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Math) curriculum has been designed to dovetail with PA State Educational Standards, and to enhance and expand upon CV's planned Kindergarten curricular activities. The program will be limited to 10 students in 2017.Enrollment is on a first come - first serve basis. Commit to enroll your child prior to March 31, 2017 and you get 10% of the first month's tuition and we waive the registration fee.

FRIENDSHIP WITHOUT LIMITS
The joy of sharing

On February 14, children at Options Childcare & Preschool celebrated their own "Friendship Day". Options Director Lynnone Leming, joined by classroom teachers Miss Megan, Miss Rema, Miss Lyndi, and Miss Yohamma, read the story  The Rainbow Fish to the children in the Sandpiper, Seahorse, and Starfish classrooms.

After the reading, each child created a scale to add to the Rainbow Fish. The scales were shared as a form of friendship much like the Rainbow Fish does in the story.
