Keeping you up to date on the many ways Beverly Bootstraps provides critical resources to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency.
You can support a family in need

For many folks, poverty isn't something they are faced with every day. Sometimes, people just find themselves down on their luck and in need of a helping hand.

By making a gift today, you will help a family like Jack's.

"We haven't always been poor," Jack said. "We've just been having the worst four months of our lives." After getting laid off from his job, and his lease running out, Beverly Bootstraps helped Jack and his family put a roof over their heads and apply for assistance.

Because of your past support, we were able to lend this family a helping hand. Won't you continue to enable us to help those in need right here in our community by donating now?

Exciting news:

Adult Education has holiday lunch
Last week, our daytime ESOL  students held a holiday buffet. Each student brought a dish from their country of origin to share with the class. This photo shows a sampling of the fare: A Portuguese goat cheese tart, a Middle Eastern chicken, rice and grape leaves dish, an Asian lo mein, a Syrian meatball, and an American sweet potato and apple casserole (provided by the volunteer teacher!).  These students grow close to each other by supporting and helping each other throughout the year in class, so its especially nice for them to celebrate the holidays together.

How you can help:

Donate to our Annual Appeal
You may have recently received our annual appeal in the mail.  If you've already donated, we thank you very much. But if the envelope is still in your to-do pile, we urge you to dig it out soon. Remember, if you send a donation by Dec. 31, you can deduct it on this year's taxes.

And you'll feel good knowing you've helped someone in need!
