Bocce Ball in the Fieldhouse

Starting on Tuesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 6 from 9:30 -11:30 am the Sportsplex will introduce the game of Bocce Ball on the Fieldhouse turf. At 9:30 am rules will be given for the game followed by game play.

Open game play will continue through the months of April and May from 9:30-11:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

The games are free to all Cedar Valley SportsPlex members.

Optimist Baseball and Softball Fundraiser

Optimist Baseball and Softball would like to invite you to come out and take a test drive at Rydell Chevrolet. For each test drive taken, Rydell will provide sponsorship dollars to Optimist on your behalf. When visiting the dealership, make sure you mention you're looking to support the Waterloo Optimist Baseball and Softball through the Chevy Youth Baseball program.

Community Recreation

Optimist Baseball & Softball registration has begun! Register between now and March 28th to receive the discounted price!

Tee Ball registration has now begun! The program will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM and 6:45 PM. There are still available for the 6:45 timeslot.

Spring Soccer registration is quickly filling up. There are still spots available for the 2nd-4th grade level.

Registration for Golf Academies and our Golf Tournaments are now open! Summer Swim Lessons registration and Pool Passes will begin on April 3rd. Apparel for Sale

The Cedar Valley SportsPlex is selling a limited supply of apparel. Items for purchase are a long sleeve dry fit for $20, short sleeve dry fit for $15 and quarter zip sweatshirts for $40. Be sure to stop at the front desk to purchase yours and join our trainers at the Fools 5K on April 1st. Use the code "fit5" to receive a discount on your registration. Wear you SportsPlex shirt for the race and stop by our table for a picture and prize afterwards!

Summer Fun with the Hawkeye RedTails

All-Sport Camp

(Ages 6-12)

June 12-15, 2017

9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Cedar Valley SportsPlex- 300 Jefferson St, Waterloo

$100 ($90 when registering two or more kids)

Experience a variety of sports, including soccer, track, golf, and swimming. Each day will consist of sports-specific activities in the morning, followed by games and pool time in the afternoon! Participants receive a camp T-shirt and their choice of Hawkeye RedTails items.

Sports Shooting Clinic

(Grades 9-12: 2017-2018 school year)

Saturday, May 27, 2017 or Saturday, June 24, 2017

1:00-5:00 p.m.

$80 // Maximum of 15 participants per clinic.

Sharpen your skills with head coach Kevin Boldt. This clinic will provide participants with physical and mental techniques to increase overall performance. Targets and 100 ammunition rounds are provided. Attendees receive a Hawkeye RedTails Sports Shooting shirt and customized eye protection.

Margaret Short Memorial Scholarship

Have a child in college or know someone who has selected Leisure Services as their major?

The MARGARET SHORT Memorial Scholarship program is designed to recognize, encourage and support outstanding Black Hawk County students who have selected the field of Leisure Services for their careers. The criteria used for consideration will be based on the student's dedication, experience and commitment to the Leisure Services field, in its broadest sense.

Eligibility : Residents of Black Hawk County (graduated from a Black Hawk County High School) who are full-time students (2nd year and beyond), enrolled in the fall of 2016 in accredited institutions of higher education with a declared major in Leisure Services or related fields.
