Tell your Member of Congress to Vote "NO"  on
The  American Health Care Act (AHCA)

The American Health Care Act (AHCA), the Republican bill that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (AHA), will be considered by the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday, March 23rd. Passage of the AHCA would result in thousands of Virginians losing access to affordable and comprehensive health care coverage. VBCF believes the AHCA will jeopardize access to breast cancer screening and treatment for Virginians.

What Can You Do?

"Vote NO on the AHCA. Congress should improve the current health care law, and should not pass any legislation that does not provide comparable or better access to affordable care, coverage, and consumer protections."

NBCC Alert:

We need our advocates flooding House member offices with calls this week telling them to vote no on the bill that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA)!

Background:  The Republican bill to repeal and replace the ACA-the American Health Care Act (AHCA), would cause 24 million Americans to lose coverage over the next 10 years, would mean coverage would be less affordable and less comprehensive and it would shift billions of dollars in costs to the states. Changes made to the AHCA just last evening make the bill even worse for low-income consumers and better for the richest by speeding up tax cuts for the wealthy.  The bill will go to the House floor to be voted on by every member of the House of Representatives on Thursday, March 23rd!

Action Needed: We need you to call your Representative today and  Thursday (March 21, 22, & 23) and deliver the following message each day:
I urge you to vote against the American Health Care Act. This bill will make consumers pay more and get less in their coverage than we do now under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The health care of over 20 million people is at stake, including millions of women and men with and at risk of breast cancer. VOTE NO on AHCA!

Click here to find your Representative.   Please act immediately! Then share this email with family, friends and colleagues and urge them to act also.   Thank you so much for this critically important advocacy!
