Volunteers Needed for Kasota Ponds Clean Up

As spring comes around the corner, the SAPCC Environment Committee has started planning for the annual Kasota Ponds Clean Up! 

Volunteers needed! We'll meet at the parking lot of 2536 Kasota Ave., west of Highway 280 for snacks and to suit up! SAPCC provides gloves, safety vests, trash bags and more. The clean up usually ends by early afternoon, and we will happily take whatever time you can give that morning! Sign up here.

Friends Tree Sale 2017

Friends of the Parks and Trails of St. Paul and Ramsey County will again host their annual tree sale with thirteen selections of trees, shrubs, roses, and vines.

The order deadline is April 21. Pickup on May 6th between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm in Maplewood or St. Paul. Orders and/or donations can be made online here


Jennings Community School D.C. Field Trip Fundraiser

One of our neighborhood charter schools is sending students on a trip to Washington D.C. to learn about political systems. The students have been tasked with helping to fund raise and would love your support for their trip! Their school is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and you can donate to the trip online here (be sure to write "DC trip" in the memo line).

Incredible Edible Movement Begins in St. Anthony Park

Incredible Edible's mission, "To strengthen our community by planting and sharing food together, learning about sustainable agriculture and supporting local businesses" has started in SAP as a volunteer movement in association with the SAP Garden Club. This group meet twice a month in St. Anthony Park to begin to plan for how to share, donate, and volunteer to plant food together, get to know neighbors, share talents and food, and pass on their knowledge and enthusiasm.

Citywide Spring Cleanup

The 2017 Citywide Spring Cleanup, hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation in cooperation with the Department of Public Works, has been scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd, from 9:00am to 11:30 am. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to join the citywide event at one of eight locations.

Join the Steering Committee for the SAP Ten Year Plan

Join us in planning for the next ten years of the neighborhood! Our Community Council has convened a steering committee for the neighborhoods Comprehensive Ten Year Planning process which has begun! Join the group for once monthly meetings (planned around the schedules of its members) to set the direction for the neighborhood and involve yourself in helping guide the outreach and communications process from inside the St. Anthony Park Community Council.

Hampden Park Co-op and SAPCC Cosponsor Mayfest

spring-word-flowers.jpgHampden Park Co-op will host Mayfest, an annual celebration of spring with plants, food, and community activities, on May 12th through May 14th. This annual celebration will bring neighbors together from north and south St. Anthony Park and outside our neighborhood as well to join in a celebration of good weather and community! About Us
The St. Anthony Park Community Council is a non-profit citizen's organization of residents working together to maintain and enhance the quality of life, residential character, economic vitality, and physical development of St. Anthony Park. The Board meets monthly as do our four committees: Land Use, Transportation, Equity, and Environment. Any resident may join the committees. The Board is elected with five delegates and two alternates each from North St. Anthony, South St. Anthony, and Business.
