These brief "classifieds" are intended to keep the members of the Diocese abreast of programs and activities in our parishes, share position openings throughout the Diocese, and to let others know if we have excess good/items they might be able to use. As in many "Classified Ads", articles should not exceed 150 words in length (total, and no graphics) and may be submitted to J.D. Lafrance ( [email protected] ) no later than Wednesday 10 a.m. each week for distribution via e-mail to the Diocese later that day. Text should be in the body of an email or in an attached Word document. Programs

April 1 | Discovering the Enneagram | Rev Dr. Jill McNish - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rev. Jill McNish, PhD will present a seminar entitled "Discovering the Enneagram." The Enneagram is an ancient, mysterious model of the psyche that is believed to have originated with the Eastern Sufi tradition and has continued to be studied by Christians, particularly by Richard Rohr and other Jesuits. The Enneagram describes nine different P ersonality ty p es, based on nine different P rimary P assions or energies. It provides psychological and spiritual tools for understanding one's pressure points and places of transformation. Handouts will be provided, so it would be helpful to know if you plan to come, but not necessary. A light lunch will be provided for those who would like to stay. Sunday, March 26th, at Saint Paul's, Chestnut Hill at 5:00 p.m. - Choral Evensong  sung by the Adult Choir. Smith - Responses, Sowerby - Evening Service in e, Rheinberger - Abendlied, Howells - Like as the Hart. Organ prelude at 4:45 p.m. played by Joe Russell, Organ Scholar. A reception in the Parish Hall follows the service. All are welcome. The freewill offering supports the music program at Saint Paul's, www.stpaulschestnuthill.org/music .

Forums/Discussion Groups

Christ Church, Ithan in Villanova, PA is hosting a Community Conversation entitled: "We CAN Get Along!" on Thursday, April 6th, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in Ithan Hall on the church grounds at 536 Conestoga Rd. Ronnie Polaneczky, a Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News columnist and TEDxPhilly presenter, will lead the conversation, bringing people of differing views into a caring and constructive conversation. Her insights on listening and constructive dialog are not to be missed and will make a difference in your life. Together we will learn how to listen and build relationships to enhance our collective strength. And, hopefully, we will discover common ground and community in a diverse world. If you are tired of the polarization and division, or feel alienated from family or friends because of differing views, please join us for this exciting and engaging conversation. Christ Church, Media at 311 South Orange Street in Media has a full slate of Services throughout Holy Week: Palm Sunday services at 8 and 10 a.m. on April 9, Tenebrae at 7 p.m. on April 12, Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m., Good Friday at noon and 7 p.m., Saturday Vigil at 7 p.m., and Easter Sunday at 8 and 10 a.m. Join us!

Items Free/For Sale to Parishes

St John' s, Glen Mills  has about  50 of these chairs  for whomever wants them. They are comfortable armchairs great for a meeting room although a little faded otherwise in good condition. They were a gift to us by the Presbyterian Pension Fund. We are now replacing them with new and they are free. Contact Reverend John Sorensen, 610-389-9278.

Rummages/Fairs/Flea Markets

Designer Bag Bingo - Church of the Incarnation , 1505 Makefield Road, Morrisville, PA. Friday, April 7th at 7 p.m. Cost is $30 per person and includes 10 games of bingo and light refreshments. Halal Healthy at the Advocate Cafe . Teaming together to serve Halal meals, the Church of the Advocate and the American Muslims for Hunger Relief are pleased to announce a new partnership to serve Halal meals at the Advocate Cafe starting Friday, March 24, 2017 and continuing on the 4th Friday of each month. Cafe Hours: 12-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Outreach Coordinator available everyday 10-2 p.m. for assistance with vouchers, referrals, housing, employment search, training opportunities, etc. Church of the Advocate, 18th & Diamond (Fr. Church Services

Saint Clement's Church , 20th & Cherry Streets, welcomes you to Sunday Vespers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 4 p.m. Vespers is chanted entirely in Latin. This weekly service is followed by sherry and light refreshments.

St. Alban's, Newtown Square , offers parish hall as "Alban's Garden" for party rental space, Friday nights and Saturdays.  Accommodates a maximum of 130 for sit-down or buffet meal. Adjoining kitchen is commercial facility enjoyed by many a caterer. Church Staff

Trinity Church, Gulph Mills is seeking a detailed, focused, and cooperative Part Time Receptionist/Administrative person. The position is hourly, 4 hours per day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for 40 weeks (school year) and flex hours in the summer, 12 weeks from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, 4 days per week. Primary duties are answering phone calls and serving as receptionists to the church and nursery school. Admin duties include general correspondence and bulletin/form preparation. Requirements include: excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, a friendly disposition and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Applicant will need to provide references, clear all background checks, and complete safe church training. Director of Children & Youth Ministries at Saint Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh.
