INSIDE BOROUGH HALL EMAIL NEWSLETTER          MARCH 21, 2017

Last week, Borough President James Oddo hosted the annual Colorectal Cancer Roundtable, bringing together professionals in the field to discuss the latest on the disease, screening and prevention and what Borough Hall can do to help improve outcomes for Staten Islanders. Of cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States and the third most common cancer in men and in women. And it's being seen in younger adults, sparking a conversation about the right time to be screened. Have a conversation with your doctor about your risk so you can determine the right age to begin screening.
