said that oftentimes you head off to do one thing and other opportunities happen.  " Keep your eyes open to these opportunities.  Armstrong is preparing you well to take advantage of them."  And he also told 8th graders to know what they need and be ready for to ask for it in high school.

shared that an instructor in her EMT program told her that every fantastic EMT he had ever encountered was dyslexic.  When she was concerned by the amount of reading and the tests involved in the training program, he told her not to look for other programs.  And the instructor was right.  Amy said that while she is not a strong reader and she is a fearful test-taker and though her program required weekly tests from a large textbook she finished 1st in her class.  She cajoled our students to use their strengths!

introduced himself as JM - Just Me - and told the students to love themselves and "just be me". He said while he hated reading in school, his career in theater has helped him to "fall in love" with the power of words. 

spoke about working at the "happiest place on earth" and then returning to as a P.E. teacher at Armstrong.  At Disney he learned to create magic with "a little faith, trust, and pixie dust."  And his advice to Armstrong students is that "while you never know where life will take you, enjoy the ride."
