We've got more news for February!
late arrival changed to early dismissal on March 2nd
Plan Ahead, Mark Your Calendar

CHANGE OF PLANS AHEAD. Please help us spread the word!  March 2nd we were scheduled for a 2 hr late arrival, but that is being changed to an early dismissal. That is the same day we are hosting the SW Ohio District Wrestling Tournament in our WHS Gym. Between 1 PM and 3 PM 2000-3000 fans, as well as 225 Wrestlers and Coaches, will be arriving for the 2 day event.

To avoid the traffic jam and problems getting buses and kids out after school, we will be changing the 2 hour late arrival to an early dismissal. Schools will start at their regular times. Please help us get the word out to all of our families as the date gets nearer.

3/2 WMS/WHS release time:   1:10 p.m.
3/2 Elementary release time:  2:15 p.m.

WMS Student News!

Congratulations are in order! Two WMS students have had artwork chosen to be exhibited. Artwork was submitted by WMS Art Teacher, Jane Taylor, for consideration.

Noelle Robertson's art will be on display for the 2018 Ohio Art Education Association's (OAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibition at the STRS building in Columbus.

Ariel Hodge's art will be displayed at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus in the 2018 OAEA's Young People's Art Exhibition.

The exhibition represents Ohio students in grades kindergarten through eighth. One hundred thirty-five pieces were selected for the juried show from the nine regions of the state that represent OAEA. The exhibit is sponsored by Ohio Art Education Association, which is the professional organization for art teachers in Ohio. OAEA works to promote the arts and recognizes quality student art throughout the state through various exhibits at state and regional levels. The Youth Art Month Exhibition comes about through many volunteer hours by art teachers in the state of Ohio.

Their art will be on display from February 17th through March 16th, and there will be a reception and awards ceremony on March 3, 2018 for the young artists and their families at the STRS and Rhodes State Office Tower.

WCS is very proud of these students!
