THE COUNTDOWN TO SUMMER IS ON

It looks like we've got six more weeks of winter ahead, thanks to Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow. Don't know about you, but we were daydreaming of warmer weather as we removed snow from our cars this morning.

Lucky for us, June is just four short months away! What do you have on your calendar for this summer? Will you build an exploding volcano or become the gaga pit champion? Or, are you packing your bags for an epic road trip to the Lost River Caverns and the Lehigh River? Maybe you're practicing spy tactics as you prepare for a week of mischief and riddles at Mountain House. Whatever challenges you have in your sights, we invite you to come to camp this summer and crush them like the go-getter you are!

Check out our camp guide to read about all the awesome camp sessions available and sign up for your favorites by Tuesday, March 14, to enjoy the early bird discount ($25 off day camp/$50 off resident camp).

Not sure which camp(s) to check out this year? Stop by an open house this spring to meet camp directors, have questions answered, and get a tour of the campsites. If you live near Shelly Ridge Camp, join us on Monday, February 20, for a day of fun at Out-of-School Play Day. Boys and girls are welcome to attend.
GIRL SCOUT DAY AT WHOLE FOODS
We're partnering with Whole Foods Market Allentown for our first 5% day at their new location in Lehigh Valley. When you shop at Whole Foods Market Allentown (750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 301, Allentown) on Wednesday, February 22, 5% of all sales will support GSEP's outreach programs, which provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls in underserved communities in the Lehigh Valley.

Come by to stock up your kitchen with natural and organic treats AND support girl leadership in the Lehigh Valley. Talk about a win-win!

Girl Scouts from Lehigh Valley, as well as staff will be on site to provide information on joining, camp, upcoming GSEP programs, and the benefits of Girl Scouting. There will also be fun activities and giveaways! Questions? Contact Julia Dougherty
GSEP PHONE LINES
Over the last few weeks, we performed some network and phone upgrades. There were some unforeseen difficulties with the phone transition, and we experienced service interruptions and missed communications. We want to apologize, and inform you all that we have been back up and fully functional since Monday with no further issues with our phones. All phone lines have been restored. However, the outgoing number for our lines has changed. So, if you see a call from a 267 number that might be us. Please pick up!

We appreciate your patience while we worked through the problem and look forward to hearing from you all very soon. In the future, if you have difficulties reaching us by phone, please inform us via email at memberservices@gsep.org.

Going for the Gold! After her younger sibling was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Halle of Troop 41384 started the Fusion Club at her school to address the need for more interaction and friendships between students w ith special needs and their peers. By pairing students together to complete fun activities, new friendships were formed and students learned how to better understand each other.  Way to go, Halle!
