Net of Light group with Sharon McErlane. Sharon is a women who has had a powerful visions and she has graciously agreed to come lead the first San Diego gathering a Net of Light.

"We are women and men
, ages 18 to 85, looking for a personal connection with the Divine-one free from rules and formal religion. We want a sense of community, more joy in our lives, and wish to be of service during this time of radical change on our planet. The Great Council of the Grandmothers first appeared in 1996 to Sharon McErlane as she walked her dog.
"The world is in grave danger,"
they said,
"and we will not allow its destruction. For too long Yang or masculine energy, has dominated life on earth, causing feminine energy to become deficient and weak. We have come to restore Yin to full beauty/power and return the world to balance. We are calling you to this work."
I met Sharon and immediately liked her and wanted to support her in her work as a visionary. Currently, I am reading a book I highly recommend by a Native American who is also an Episcopal priest, Stephan Charleston,
The Four Vision Quests of Jesus.
We are in an, "age where celebrity passes for the heroic and the constant sensations flashed before us on screens fiai to reach any deeper in us than entertainment. We live in what he (Vine Deloria) called 'that strange isolation.' Visions can break that spell. It can release us from our isolation Not because it is magic, but because it is so human, When we reclaim the ancient experience of receiving spiritual visions, when we openly acknowledge that we live in a a world of deep mystery, when we tell our stories to one another, when we are able to celebrate the fact that even the most ordinary person can be shaped by the most extraordinary encounters, then we can shatter the silence of an age that sits before a screen and waits for digital data to tell it what is real."
At Church For Our Common Home we honor dreams and visions and ask you as Charleston asks, "What did your earliest visions look like? When did it come to you? How did it appear? Where were you? What were you doing? Did you recognize it as a vision right away or did you have to grow into it? What images helped you? What living creatures shared in your experience? How did you carry the visions with you?"
Thanks so much Sharon for joining us in San Diego and for your inspiration and courage to share your visions! Our ancestors including Jesus and Mary Magdalene and many ordinary people who have had vision will be with us in spirit.
NEW COMMUNITY GARDEN FOR OUR HOOD!
Thank you to El Capitain Equestrian Center in Lakeside who gave us free horse manure to begin our Community Garden for Church For Our Common Home,
and thank you to Eugenio Saucio for going to hauling it in his truck and thank you to our beloved Dr. Claudette Satnick our local brilliant chiropractor here in Rancho Penasquitos for making us a worm box. Come one come all to plant and create our community garden in our front yard.
Please join us for our Lenten program, every Wednesday at 10 am we gather for Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina and our Lenten themed weekly Sunday and weekly Wednesday gatherings for the 40 plus days of Lent will explore "Following Mary Magdalene into the Cave of Contemplation." Our special Easter sunrise service will be at Torrey Pines State Park Beach, April 16th at 6 am All are welcome!
Lent is a time of introspection as we metaphorically follow Jesus into the desert to face our inner demons just as he did and spend time in prayer as we commune with God/dess. Mary Magdalene has been mostly left out of the traditions of the church and here at Church for Our Common Home we are working to intentionally place her back in her rightful place of honor as perhaps Jesus most advanced disciple, and his partner in ministry and companion in death and eternal life. Together they embody the heart of Christianity that love is more powerful than suffering and death.
Join us for Taize Chanting the first Sunday of every month, 5-6 pm, April 2 and Pot luck immediately following, every Sunday worship.
Please join us at the Islamic Center of San Diego later in April for interfaith friendship, dream sharing and painting as we share our stories

Mission Statement
Encouraging awe and loving intimacy with all of creation and the cosmos, we explore the visual and performing arts, dreams, wisdom teachings of Christ-Sophia in the Bible and newly found Gnostic gospels, prayer, social activism, and relationships as we work to care for our common home Mother Earth, in a new kind of local and global community. Creating beloved community, we study the wisdom traditions and teachings of mysticism. Not following the "traditions" of the Christian church but the teachings of Jesus and Mary Magdalene we also honor all the world's religious wisdom teachings. We are a home church with people around the world via the Internet, exploring a new religious story for our time.

Bonnie and Walt are attending the a "Spirituality and Sustainability Conference" this summer in Rome and Assisi Italy. The goals of the conference include networking with centers and movements, exploring visionary recommendations for the future and supporting young ecologic leaders seeking transformative global change on spirituality and sustainability. We will attend lectures on the Papal Ecology Encyclical Laudato Si as well as attend a Papal Audience.
