An interactive workshop to learn how to recognize and respond to hate speech in its many forms.

The U.S. has the broadest protections for free expression in the world, ones that even protect bigoted and hateful speech. However, there are ways that individuals can exercise their own free speech rights to respond in a constructive way that calls out corrosive sentiments and promotes a nuanced dialogue on issues of race and religion. Case studies will include anti-Semitism and anti-zionism.

The event is Co - Sponsored by Hillel of Silicon Valley, and The Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

The Plagues of Egypt: Terrifying, and unrelatable (because the Jews weren't plagued).

Educational Trips Educational

We're taking eligible students to Israel for free this summer!
July 2-13, 2017

Registration for ZOA Summer 2017 is open!

The ZOA Student Leadership Mission to Israel is a fun and intense two weeks of education and advocacy training in Israel. Students will have the opportunity to travel throughout the Jewish state, including Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria, and many strategic border regions (Western Negev, Galilee, Jordan Valley, and Golan Heights).  Students will also meet with Knesset Members, journalists, policy experts, military experts, and much more. This trip is intended for students who are Israel activists on their campuses or are planning to become Israel activists in the near future. The trip will arm you with the facts and unique personal experiences you need to be a strong Zionist activist on campus.
Please view the  sample itinerary for our student Israel trips. Please note that each itinerary is different, but this will give you a good idea of the programing on the trip.
By participating in this trip, you are committing to continue your Israel advocacy on campus after the trip and to work with ZOA Campus staff to bring Israel programming to your campus. Acceptances are given on a rolling basis, so applying early is strongly recommended. If you have any questions, please  contact your ZOA Campus Coordinator.
