Saturday, April 1, 2017: IDA Dressage Show

Cost:  Spectator admission is free.

Description:  Intercollegiate horse show where students and teams compete for the chance to continue on to the National Championships. Competitors come from college and university equestrian teams within Region D of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA). Competitors are dressage equestrian team members. Horses are chosen by a random draw, and competitors are allowed 10 minutes to warm-up on the horse with the help of their coach before it is their turn to compete. Riders compete by riding a USDF test in front of a judge (levels include Introductory, Training, and First Levels). Competitors may earn points for their individual standings and for their school's team standing. Bleacher seating available for spectators. April 1-2, 2017: Eddy de Wolff van Westerrode Dressage Clinic

Cost:  Auditor/spectator admission is free.

Description:  Albion College welcomes Eddy de Wolff van Westerrode, FEI 5* international dressage judge from the Netherlands, to conduct a riding clinic. The clinic rides will commence after he judges the intercollegiate dressage show on April 1 and will continue on the morning of April 2. Eddy will teach 45-minute private lessons to pre-registered riders and their horses. As an international judge with the highest possible rating (FEI 5*), Eddy has been able to be a member of the ground jury for many prestigious events, including the FEI World Cup Dressage, and most recently the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Bleacher seating available for spectators. Event takes place in the indoor arena, which is fully enclosed but not heated. April 22-23, 2017:  "Dressage at Albion College" USDF Show

Description:  Albion College teamed up with BMCI Corp. (of HorseShowOffice.com) to manage this nationally sanctioned dressage horse show. Event is licensed by United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), is recognized by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), and is a qualifying event for the 2017 GAI/USDF Regional Dressage Championships. Competitors will be riders and horses from all over the USDF Region 2. Warm up and competition will take place in the indoor arena. Bleacher seating available for spectators.
