As we celebrate Easter Sunday, we will need all hands on deck and extra persons willing to serve as we host two services 9:00 and 10:30 am. Secret Church
This Year's Topic:
SCRIPTURE AND AUTHORITY
IN AN AGE OF SKEPTICISIM
The Bible is the foundation for faith among followers of Christ in churches around the world. Yet many such Christians never think to ask why this is the case. Our doors will open at 5:30 pm, and we will begin at 6:00 pm sharp April 21, 2017. We will be hosting a live simulcast with David Platt, digging in our Bibles to answer this critical question. Keep in mind, this is six full hours of digging in our Bible. Dress comfortably!

Heritage Day
Sunday April 30th we will celebrate "Heritage Day" with a special service and dinner on the ground. We will be hosting a special "Baptism" time during this service. If you have made a decision to trust Christ, and have not been baptized, or if you were baptized as an infant or child and yet your decision to trust Christ followed, this would be a great time to follow through and make public your decision to trust Christ. HCC will provide BBQ, drinks, cups, plates, eating utensils.
To ensure there is enough food for everyone, we are asking you to register below and bring one 9x13 dish for every three people ages 6 and up in your family, (1-3 people=1 dish; 4-6 people= 2 dishes...). When you register, you will also have the option in volunteering for no more than one hour to help make this day so special.

NextGen Student Ministry
Happy Easter Season Everyone.
Can you believe it? Spring Break has come and gone and Summer is right around the corner. That means camp preparations are in full swing. I can't thank you enough for the generous support we have received through all of our fundraising efforts along with your donations. Our students are incredibly blessed to have so many of you willing to invest in them. With that being said, we will have a few more fundraisers coming up in April for our final push before camp in July.
On Sunday, April 23rd, bring your appetites to church, as NextGen will be selling pulled pork sandwich lunches immediately following service. We're talking the good stuff here.... The lunch will include a sandwich, chips, and cookies all for only $8.00. We will also be having a car wash and Spirit Night on Saturday, April 29th at Chick Fil A. The car wash will take place from 9am to12:00pm and the Spirit Night will happen between 5pm-7pm that evening. It's a great time to get that pollen washed off the vehicles and eat some chicken sandwiches all while supporting NextGen.

Tree House Kids
Colored eggs, Easter egg hunts, chocolate covered bunnies...coming soon! The best part of Easter, though, is something that has already come. The Resurrection of Jesus! This month in the Treehouse we will celebrate that Jesus is alive!!
In the Playhouse, we want our little ones to hear the true stories of how Jesus washed his disciples' feet, made His triumphal entry, died and rose again, built His Church, and gave us the Great Commission. Jesus is the Best!!!
Our elementary aged kids will learn how to respond to such a sacrificial act as Jesus' death and resurrection...with humility. So hard for all of us! We will share true stories from God's Word about the last days of Jesus' life on earth so your kids can see that putting others first is the way we respond to Jesus' amazing love for us.
On Easter, we will have two identical service times....9:00 and 10:30. We will start promptly since it will be a shorter time than usual. Tell your kids to bring their friends!!

I am writing prior to our trip to Haiti, but on behalf of my family and the rest of the team who had the privilege to go and serve at the two orphanages, thank you so much for the financial and prayer support. We are looking forward to sharing with you soon about our experience and God's work in Haiti. Take time today and remember missionaries that are serving around the world sharing the Good News and Hope of Jesus Christ. Special thanks to Pastor Brian and his leadership over the past month in leading us through the series, "FAITH FOR TODAY"
As we March into April, (no pun intended) our celebration of Easter and Jesus risen from the dead is only a few weeks away. Beginning Sunday, April 2nd, we will begin a series called, "Characters of the Passion." Each story is filled with characters and the story surrounding the death and resurrection of Jesus is no different. Our sermons leading up to Easter Sunday will center around the different individuals we see involved in the Passion story as well as the Hope that Jesus's resu
rrection brings. I am personally looking forward to "Secret Church" on Friday, April 21st. Hope you will join me!
For those of you reading through the New Testament this year with us as a church family, we have made our way through the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke. The first week of April you should be starting the Gospel of John. I love to see your insights of your Bible reading on social media and emails that you send.
May the reading, study and application of God's Word be important to us as Christ followers.
