Congress Moving Forward with Proposals to Cut Medicaid

Congress is rushing to make drastic cuts to the Medicaid program. The level of cuts over time would decimate the Medicaid program.  If Congress moves forward with these deep cuts, long-term supports and services in the community could be impacted. This includes group homes, day programs and a wide-range of supports we all care about.

We need you to act now. We need to stop this plan from moving forward.

When will this happen? The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote this Thursday. The Senate has indicated that it would like to vote on the House bill before the mid-April recess.

We urgently need advocates to reach out to Congress and tell them to stop the cuts to Medicaid. Advocates need to explain why Medicaid is essential to people with disabilities and their families.
