Mandi Pratt-Chapman, associate center director for patient-centered initiatives and health equity at the GW Cancer Center, served as one of the authors on the commentary, which calls to bridge the gap between the achievable and the accessible in cancer care. The commentary, published in the latest Lancet Oncology Journal, calls for the global cancer community to improve health and wellness for cancer survivors and their families through a variety of specific actions. Sarah Raskin, research scientist, patient reported outcomes at the GW Cancer Center, recently presented the American Society of Clinical Oncology's annual quality care symposium. Raskin presented on collaborative, PCORI-funded work at the GW Cancer Center and the School of Public Health aimed at involving patients in quality care through evaluating the patient-centered aspects of cancer survivorship care models.
