Public Meeting for Residents input on MAGLEV train route through Bowie

Dear Friends,

I want to alert you to a public meeting which will be taking place at Bowie Community Center on April 5th to present plans for the high speed magnetic train project which is under consideration for the future between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.   One of the possible paths being discussed for this train is the WB&A trail which cuts directly through Bowie.

These public sessions will now focus on a shortlist of candidate alternatives alignments for the new SCMAGLEV train route. The alternatives will be subject to further scrutiny/vetting/challenge over the next 2-3 months and then the field will eventually be refined to a single, preferred alternative.  This process will be continue into the June-July time frame, and with an update being reported in a third round of Open Houses for public participation.
