Get to Know Your New Committee Members:
|
We began introducing our new Zone 2 Committee Members in January.
These members are already hard at work in our zone! Take a minute to get to know a few more:
Katie Benson
Katie, of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, has been involved in the sport all her life. She owns and operates a hunter/jumper business in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and her program encompasses beginner through advanced riding and horsemanship. She is involved with multiple boards and organizations including the USHJA Board of Directors and the New Jersey Horse Shows Association. As a Zone 2 Committee member, she wants to keep the zone aware of all the programs offered by USHJA and contribute in any way that helps encourage quality horsemanship. Outside the sport she enjoys spending time with her children. If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose Linda Allen because she's an amazing horse person, course designer, clinician and author.
Michael Dowling
Michael, of Far Hills, New Jersey, has been involved in the sport for 40 years. He is the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Regional President and serves on the IHSA National Board of Directors. His goal as a committee member is to serve as a voice representing the collegiate contingency of the zone. Outside the sport he enjoys traveling. If he could have dinner with any equestrian, he would choose Murray Kessler.
Tobey McWilliams
Tobey, of Oley, Pennsylvania, has been involved in the sport all of her life. She owns and operates Valley Mist Farm and is involved with many committees including the Hunter Working Group, USEF National Hunter Committee, Eastern Pennsylvania Professional Horseman's Association, and more. As a committee member, she wants to be a voice for Zone 2 members and bring their wants and concerns back to the committee. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family. If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose Gordon Wright because he had wonderful stories and was so knowledgeable about horses.
