Get to Know Your New Committee Members:
|
We began introducing our new Zone 1 Committee Members in January. These members are already hard at work in our zone! Take a minute to get to know them:
Melinda "Mindy," of Williston, Vermont, owned Steeple Ridge Farm and was a trainer and horse show manager for 35 years. She continues to stay active in the sport on various committees, consulting, clinics and managing shows. She also serves on several committees and is co-author of the New England Equitation Championships Horsemanship Test. As a committee member she is focused on education and wants to help horsemen and women achieve their goals by helping to further their education with grants and scholarships. If Mindy could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose USHJA President Mary Babick to talk about ways to increase membership and participation at local level shows and how to best serve as a committee member.
Cynsie Broda, Non-Voting Adviser
Cynsie, of South Londonberry, Vermont, is an amateur rider and an "R" judge. She has been involved in the sport for more than 35 years and is passionate about the future of the sport. As a non-voting adviser on the board, she wants to help make the sport the best it can be. She enjoys skiing, gardening and cooking in her spare time. If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose the late Joey Darby because he was always a great dinner companion, funny, kind and a huge advocate for the horse.
