Get to Know Your Committee Members:
We began introducing our new Zone 4 Committee Members in January. They are already hard at work in our zone. Take a minute to get to know them:

Sue Ashe
Sue, of Wellington, Florida, is a judge, owner and trainer who has been involved with the sport many years. As a committee member, she wants to continue to work on clinics in the zone as well as the Zone 4 Handy Hunter Classics. Outside the sport she enjoys traveling, reading, gardening and needlepoint. If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she would choose Francis Rowe to talk with her about Molly and Neil (her children) as she was the first one to put them on a jumper at a very young age.

Eleanor Ellis
Eleanor, of Brooklet, Georgia, has been involved with the sport since she was 6 years old and secretly received a Shetland pony from her sister. Months passed before the sisters told their parents, but Eleanor had already fallen in love with horses. Since then, she's tried to learn all aspects of horses and showing. She competed as a junior and amateur rider before turning professional and also was involved in the Quarter Horse industry for a few years. She is currently a board member for IHSA and coaches the collegiate team at Georgia Sounthern University as well as the IEA middle and high school teams for her farm, Evermore Farm. As a Zone 4 Committee Member, she wants to offer her perspective on the committee and also believes in the grass roots level. If she could have dinner with any equestrian, she said it would be difficult to choose, but she would love to have met C.W. Anderson because his stories introduced many young people to horses.

The Zone 4 Free Riding Clinic with Fran Dotoli that was held February 20 at the
Jim Brandon Equestrian Center  in West Palm Beach, Florida, was a success!

Thirty members participated in the clinic and even more auditors watched and learned from Dotoli.

Special thanks to clinic sponsors  SmartPak for providing saddle pads and rider goodie bags, Starbucks for providing coffee and pastries,  The Ridge at Wellington for donating their jumps and setting a beautiful course, and to all the volunteers for making the clinic possible.
