I want to express my great gratitude to all who attended the Visioning Event and contributed to our initial work in planning for the future of St. Francis. It was encouraging to hear and to sense the excitement of the participants that affirms their love and care for their church. It was as though we stood on the mountaintop that day. And now it is time to come down to the valley and do the work of turning our dreams for this church into realities.
The most important question that each of us can ask ourselves at this point is: What am I willing/able to do differently? What gifts have God given me that I can use to help St. Francis in fulfilling its mission? As I said in this past week's sermon, there is no one to do this work but you and me. No one can do it for us.
May God grant us the energy, the wisdom, and the patience to commit ourselves to listen to where God is leading each of us in fulfilling His will.
Blessings+
Fr. Brad

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING:
Saturday, April 29
8:30am-5:00pm
You may know CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. You can call 911. But can you administer first aid in a mental health crisis? It's easy to tell when someone is having a heart attack, is choking, or can't breathe. But what does depression look like? Anxiety? What would you say to a person you know who says they are thinking about suicide? How can you help in a panic attack? Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to help someone developing or experiencing a mental health crisis.
It is
