Ekklesia Family Retreat This Weekend
At Sound View Camp- Mar. 31- Apr. 2
A sense of community and relationship connection is what builds up a church. Ekklesia is a team of mission focused people who want to change our community. Opportunities to grow together and encourage others is a priority. So, we look for regular ways to grow closer to Jesus and with others within our community of believers. This weekend is just one of those opportunities. We will meet on Friday evening out at Sound View Camp for a weekend filled with relaxation, eating together, working together on several camp projects and for times of fun and worship. For those who won't be able to make it out on Saturday you are always invited to join us Sunday morning for our breakfast meal and our time of worship at 10am. There will be time for loads of fun in the paintball area or the archery area. You might also just enjoy a walk on the beach! The graphic below provides the schedule for the weekend. We'll see you out on the Key Peninsula this weekend!

This Sunday there will be no gathering for Ekklesia members in Port Orchard. Our only gathering will be out at the Sound View Camp.

Location:
8515 Key Peninsula Highway South
Longbranch, WA 98351

Severe Weather Shelter Closed For the Season
Beginning in January Ekklesia partnered with several other churches in the Port Orchard area in order to launch a new Severe Weather Shelter for the homeless in South Kitsap. We helped with the training sessions at the United Methodist Church. We gathered supplies like blankets, pillows and cleaning supplies. Just last week Tim met with other coordinators to plan for the purchase of 10 plastic covered mattresses and a folding cot which may prove to be the prototype model we will use and purchase more of later in the year. This week Tim returned the sign in sheets and the Shelter kit to the Department of Emergency Management. The shelter was activated a total of 18 nights and received visitors on 14 of those nights. We received a total of 45 visitors during this time from January 26th through March 28th. The Severe Weather Shelters across the county will close on March 31st and reopen in November of this year. We look forward to helping even more people in the coming season as God calls us to help those in need.

Thank You!
The focus of our life is to love others and share our love for Jesus. The friends that have consistently supported our work are an amazing group of people that have stood by us these four years. This May Ekklesia will be four years old! Can you believe it? Thank for your prayers and faithful support!
