Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the Microenterprise Grant Program.  The Town of Bethlehem was successful in its application to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal to continue its Microenterprise Grant Program and will receive $200,000 to provide grants to eligible Microenterprises - emerging and existing businesses that want to locate in or expand within Bethlehem. Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $35,000 and can be used to purchase inventory, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures and to meet working capital needs.

The Gaslight Theater Company will be performing the always-funny "Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" at Bethlehem Public Library. Performances are FREE and open to the public and will take place Thursday & Friday, March 30-31, at 6:30pm, and Saturday, April 1, at 2pm in the Community Room.

The Berkshire Bank Foundation recently announced a new grant opportunity to help meet the evolving needs of nonprofit organizations in communities served by Berkshire Bank. Through the Xtraordinary Day Grant Request For Proposal, (RFP), Berkshire is inviting concise proposals that seek to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations by funding a variety of activities that will improve the organization's performance and impact. Nominations are now open for Bryant Asset Protection's Generation Grants Program. Each quarter, Jeffrey and Mark Bryant honor their parents' principles by giving back to the local community through a series of grants of up to $1,000 that result in community improvements. If you know of a worthwhile local community effort or if you represent a group or are an individual who would like to be considered for a grant, complete the form from their website, or email them with questions.

Support The Cue Theatre by helping them purchase items from their "wish list" that are needed for Aladdin Jr., as well as for the theatre in general. Every item purchased from the wish list means more money they can designate for tuition assistance, and that they can keep ticket and programming prices affordable for everyone and continue to develop of new programs. Nominating petition forms and informational packets are available at the library information desk for candidates interested in serving on the Bethlehem Public Library board of trustees. One seat with a term of five years is up for vote. Incumbent and board president Mary Redmond will be seeking re-election. Candidates must reside within Central School District No. 6 of the towns of Bethlehem and New Scotland, and petitions must contain at least 52 signatures of voters from the district. Petitions must be filed with the District Clerk, Bethlehem Central High School, 700 Delaware Avenue, by 4:30 p.m. on 4/17/17.

U.S. News released its rankings last week, naming the University at Albany's Full-Time MBA Program among the top 100 programs in the country. The 2018 ranking places the MBA 91st among 471 AACSB-accredited schools in the U.S. This comes on the heels of the MBA program expansion and the addition of four new concentrations, including cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing, to longtime offerings in information technology management and human resource information systems.
