We went in search of some small birds this morning. Our morning was not diminished, however, when we found mostly larger birds. It was a wonderful early spring morning!

Bird of the Day
Black Phoebe −
Sayornis nigricans

For several years a black phoebe has shown up at the 75th Street Bridge over Boulder Creek. It came back again this week. I think we were lucky to see it because other birders had dipped (not seen it) this morning. The black phoebe is a rare visitor for us from the southwest. Get down to the creek path and see it this spring!
